Our Milling Equipment
We use specialised machines for toll processing, depending on the mineral you need and the intended application. Each mineral has unique qualities that require a certain approach and each application requires different specifications of the minerals. Our equipment is designed to achieve your exact specifications in the most efficient and accurate way. Some of our most frequently-used machines include ball mills, hammer mills, Raymond mills, cone crushers, roller crushers, attritor mills, and jaw crushers.
Ball Mills
This modernized grinder is filled with chrome or forged ballsl, depending on the mineral being milled. The balls provide a constant impact that grinds the material into a finer consistency. The walls of the ball mills are lined with either an abrasive material or hard material like Manganese. The abrasive material will aid in grinding while protecting the machine without affecting the mineral inside.
Hammer Mills
The hammer mill is made up of a steel drum that houses a shaft of many hammers. This type of mill is often used as a secondary or tertiary crushing method to achieve the desired results, but can also be the primary mill when called for. The hammers are spun at high speed as the material enters the drum. The repetitive impacts shatter the mineral into fragments that are sifted out through an adjustable opening in the bottom.
Raymond Mills
The Raymond mill features a shaft that spins at high speed within a cylindrical house. Numerous rollers are attached to the shaft and grind the material as it enters the housing through the sides, resulting in a fine powder of your exact specifications. The powder is removed from the mill housing through specialised filtering tubes.
Cone Crushers
Cone crushers are used for hard materials that need to be crushed to a specific size. The material is dropped into a funnel that houses a cone that spins in an off-centre motion. As the cone tilts towards the interior walls of the housing and rotates, the material is crushed. Only fragments that have reached the specified size can pass through the space between the cone and the housing, exiting the cone crusher through the bottom. Some materials must pass through multiple crushers of various sizes to reach the desired specifications.
Roller Crushers
There are two types of roller crushers. The first features two parallel rollers that turn in opposite directions, crushing minerals between them as they rotate. High-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR) apply compressive and interparticle pressure that is configured prior to milling to reduce the mineral.
Attritor Mills
Attritor mills are a versatile design used everywhere from small labs to large factory production floors. They are often referred to as stirred ball mills because they operate similarly to the ball mill, but with high-speed arms attached to shafts that propel the balls around the housing. The repetitive, powerful impact pulverises the mineral into a fine powder. Contact us to discuss which ball milling services are right for your needs.
Jaw Crushers
As the name suggests, a jaw crusher features a type of chewing motion between a V-shaped opening and its crushing counterpart. As the jaw crusher opens, the material slips further inside and when the jaw closes again, the material is crushed, which allows it to pass further.
These machines and more are readily available in our facilities to produce perfectly-milled minerals that will cut your production costs and improve your end product.
